Classification, usage, installation method and matters needing attention

CNC machine tools can be processed normally. In addition to machine tool hardware and system software, the heaviest tool is CNC tool. CNC tool is an important tool for machining production and cutting of machine tools, including blade, grinding tool, tool bar, tool handle, etc.
There are many kinds of turning tools. According to their uses, they can be divided into outer turning tools, end turning tools, cutting tools, thread turning tools and inner hole turning tools. According to their structure, they can be divided into integral, welding, clamping and special types.

Classification by tool structure:
Integral: The main tool body is made of a blank, and easy to grind into a sharp cutting edge, good tool stiffness, suitable for small turning tools and processing non-ferrous metal turning tools.
Welding type: The welding method is used to connect, the cutter head and the tool bar, compact structure, convenient manufacturing, suitable for all kinds of turning tools, especially the small cutter is more prominent.
Machine clamp: the blade is fixed on the tool bar with a mechanical hold. The blade can be replaced after being blunt. It is a commonly used tool in CNC lathes and the tool bar is reused.
Special type: such as compound tool, damping tool, etc.

Classification by turning tool material:
High speed steel cutting tool: made of high speed steel, can be constantly grinding, is the general tool for rough processing and semi-finishing.
Hard alloy cutting tool: The blade is made of hard alloy, used for cutting cast iron, non-ferrous metals, plastics, chemical fiber, graphite, glass, stone and ordinary steel, but also can be used to cut heat-resistant steel, stainless steel, high strength steel, tool steel and other difficult materials.
Diamond: The blade is inlaid with gold and steel stone. It has the advantages of extremely high hardness and wear resistance, low friction coefficient, high elastic modulus, high thermal conductivity, low thermal expansion coefficient, and small affinity with non-iron metals. It can be used for the precision machining of non-metallic brittle and hard materials such as graphite, high wear-resisting materials, conforming materials, high silicon aluminum alloy and other ductile non-ferrous materials.
Other materials: such as cubic boron nitride cutting tools, ceramic cutting tools, etc., to high hardness alloy cast iron rough machining, intermittent cutting direction development.

Classified by turning tool process:
Outer turning tool: 93 degrees outer turning tool is mainly used for machining outer circle and end face, 35 degrees offset tool is mainly used for contour copying machining.
Inner hole turning tool: 93 degrees inner hole turning tool is mainly used for inner machining.
Thread turning tool: There are mainly two kinds of thread turning tools: external thread turning tool and internal thread turning tool, among which external thread turning tool is mainly used for external thread processing, and internal thread turning tool is mainly used for internal thread processing.
Slotting tool: External slotting tool is mainly used for external grooving and cutting, and internal slotting tool is mainly used for internal grooving processing.

Four station tool rest jacket requirements:
1. The tip of the turning tool should be equal to the height of the workpiece rotation center. The commonly used method of tool tip to center height: the first step to install the turning tool, so that the tool tip and the tail seat top height; The second step is to cut the end face.
2, the length of the turning tool out of the tool rest should be appropriate. The turning tool is installed on the tool rest, and the length of the tool rest is generally 1-1.5 times the thickness of the tool bar. It should not be too long. If the tool bar is stretched out too long, the rigidity of the tool bar becomes worse, and the vibration is easy to be generated when cutting.
3, CNC lathe tool pad iron to flat, the number of the less the better, and the pad iron should be aligned with the tool rest, in order to prevent vibration.
4, CNC lathe turning tool with at least two screws on the tool rest, and take turns to tighten one by one, tightening force to be appropriate.
5, CNC lathe tool bar center line should be perpendicular to the feed direction, otherwise it will make the main deflection Angle and auxiliary deflection Angle value change. CNC machine tools are different, the loading and unloading methods are not the same.
